Reset Plan - May 28, 2025

It’s been a month since I began the journey of transforming myself.
There have been ups and downs, moments of clarity and confusion.
I’ve listened to countless speakers, reflected deeply, and realized just how far I’ve come.
Now, it’s time to reset — to realign my path with the improvements I truly want to embrace.

I’ve narrowed down my focus.
For too long, I’ve tried to do everything in the world.
But now I see that in order to grow, I need to be more specific, more intentional, and more disciplined in what I pursue.

Talk and Listen to Understand

I’ve come to realize something important about myself.
I may lack certain social skills — or maybe not completely — but I know this: I’m a great listener.
That’s one of my strengths. But I want to be more than just someone who hears — I want to truly understand.
I need to be more empathetic, more present, and more thoughtful in conversations.

I want to listen not to reply, but to understand.
So that both I and the person I’m speaking with can grow, instead of talking past each other with no real connection.
This is something I’ve always been good at, and now I will work on refining it further.

Specific Goals and Focus Areas

These goals are practical, necessary, and aligned with what I truly want to achieve.

1. Communication, Confidence, and Language

I will work on mastering the art of communication.
I want to articulate my thoughts clearly and present ideas effectively.
Becoming a better speaker and a more confident communicator is a top priority.

2. Running and Basketball

I will train my body to run long distances with ease.
I will play basketball regularly and improve my stamina, strength, and skill.
This is part of my commitment to physical health and well-being.

3. AWS Preparation

I will prepare daily for the AWS certification exam.
My goal is to appear for the exam within the next 90 days.
No excuses. Just focused, consistent preparation every day.

4. Touch Typing and AI Agent Development

I will practice touch typing daily.
I will spend 30 minutes each day reading articles, exploring AI agent technologies, and staying updated with tech developments.
This will sharpen both my technical and practical skills.

5. PhD Applications

I am actively searching for PhD programs.
My focus is Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), because I truly love what they offer.
Their program speaks to everything I live for.
I’ve seen it first-hand, and I admire it deeply. I will give this my best effort.

6. Stock Market and Crypto Market

I will dedicate 30 minutes a day to studying and observing the markets.
I will make bi-weekly or weekly investments based on my observations.
This is about building financial intelligence and discipline.

Life Balance

The rest includes everything that makes life whole:
My household responsibilities, my family back home, my partner, my brother, food, groceries, home maintenance, and regular calls to Nepal.

Socializing is also essential — not just where I feel comfortable, but intentionally being in spaces where I feel challenged.
That discomfort helps me grow.

Hobbies and Interests

Electronics, my aquarium, and other hobbies remain part of my life.
I’ll give them more attention on weekends, and address them on weekdays only in case of emergencies.

Final Rule

Rules and plans will change and adapt as needed.
I will not force myself to stick to old routines if they no longer serve my growth.
Instead, I will adjust, adapt, and evolve. That’s the rule I set today — May 28, 2025.

And above all, no attachment to anything.
Simplicity is the best policy.
Everything is temporary — what truly matters are skills, knowledge, and growth.
Remember this.
